What Are Environmental Champions?
Environmental Champions are individuals that are passionate about improving their local Environment, from greening projects to tackling waste management and fly tipping. We know that residents have a strong understanding of their community so the types of projects and initiatives will be led by you and supported by MSV and our partners.
Environmental champions are proactive residents that want to see their local Environment flourish. We will work together to promote environmental awareness and implement sustainable practices. You will play a key part in engaging community members, coordinate events, and drive positive environmental changes affecting your local community.
Background
The Environmental Champions initiative was born out of feedback received from our customers regarding Environmental concerns and a desire to actively be involved in improving their local area. MSV recognise that local action can have a global impact so are keen to work with and empower local communities to address this. MSV have a long-standing commitment to sustainability and proven track record of community engagement. The role of Environmental champions aims to channel the enthusiasm and creativity of local residents so that collectively we work towards a cleaner, greener planet.
Who Can Be Environmental Champions?
Anyone who is motivated and inspired to make a difference in their community can become an Environmental Champion! Whether you are a student, a professional, a retiree, or a stay-at-home parent, if you have a passion for the environment and a desire to work with likeminded residents, you can join! We believe diversity in our champions brings a wealth of ideas and strength to our collective efforts.
How to Become an Environmental Champion
Becoming an Environmental Champion is simple and rewarding. Here’s how you can get started:
- Sign Up: Visit our website and fill out the application form. Tell us about your passion for the environment and any ideas you have for your community or email Environmentalchampions@msvhousing.co.uk
- Training: Attend one of our training sessions.
- Action: With ongoing support from MSV and our partners, we will help you implement your projects and activities that drive sustainable practices and increase community engagement.
- Network: Connect with other Environmental Champions to share ideas, collaborate on projects.
