| Peter Smith |
 |
Peter joined St Vincent's in 1991, having previously worked in both the public and private sectors.
His role as Chief Executive is to drive St Vincent's forward, ensuring the aims and objectives are met, and new opportunities are realised. He leads an executive team of 4, who are responsible for the planning, performance and delivery. |

| Charlie Norman |
 |
Charlie began her career in the Social Housing Sector in 1988, and has worked for Salford City Council, District of Abbotsford in Canada and Plus Housing Group in Merseyside before joining SVHA in 2003.
Her background is predominantly within housing management, with experience of working with a wide variety of organisations such as housing co-operatives and specialist BME Housing Associations, as well as skills and experience in stock transfer, group structures and regeneration initiatives.
Charlie has recently completed the OU MBA programme and in her spare time enjoys reading and trips to the theatre. |

| Paul Gerrard |

Paul has over 20 years experience in housing having worked in both the public and private sectors.
His background is in Neighbourhood Renewal, Development and Home Improvement Agencies.
In his spare time Paul is a Manchester United season ticket holder and runs a local junior football team. |
| Yvonne McDermott |
Yvonne is a Chartered Surveyor with over 20 year experience in the commercial and residential property. Before joining St Vincent’s is 2002 she worked for The Manchester Ship Canal Company, Mersey Docks in Liverpool working mainly in commercial property management, valuation and development. She also spent 2 years in New York working for Related Management, a low income housing company.
In her spare time, Yvonne is busy organising her family’s social activities and being part of the PTA and Parish Association. |

| Annie Huang |
 |
Annie joined St. Vincent's in March 1989, having worked previously in the Finance function in two other housing associations as well as in private accountacy firm. Her role as Director of Finance and IT is to ensure the vision and aims of the Association are supported by sound long-term financial management. She brings to this her skills and experience gained from many years working in this field and her numerous contacts in the Banking and Housing sectors. In her spare time Annie enjoys running, line dancing and serving on the parents' association at her children's school.

| Housing Management |
The Operations Department includes Supported Housing, General Needs Housing and Asset Management, providing the full range of housing, repairs and support services to a diverse range of customers over 16 local authority areas. |
| Social Investment Team |
Our social Investment Team work closley with members of the community, addressing issues such as crime, worklessness, youth initiatives and services for older people. | Development |
Working in partnership with the Northern Lights Consortium, our Development Team is responsible for bidding for allocations and delivering the annual development programme. Although based at St Vincent's Head Office, the team work across a large number of boroughs, delivering both urban and rural housing solutions. |

| Finance & IT |
|
The Finance & IT Department looks after the Association's finances and provides the IT systems for the Association. The Finance Department pays all the Association's suppliers and employees as well as posting the rent we receive onto tenants accounts. The Department sets the Association's budget each year and provides ongoing reports on how the Association is performing against budget.
In addition we negotiate with various lenders to borrow money in order to finance our development programme as well as ensuring the Association is adequately insured. The IT Department looks after the Association's hardware and software to assist in the smooth running of the Association, it also develops in-house systems to improve the Association's efficiency. |

| John Towers |
John Towers is a retired senior civil servant whose previous careers included:- land surveyor, mortgage valuer and chief rent officer for Greater Manchester. John lives in Bolton with his wife, Pauline, and has a keen interest in amateur dramatics, being the chairman of Bolton Little Theatre. |

| Roy Knowles |
Roy is a qualified chartered accountant and a chartered tax advisor. In 2006 he set up his own consultancy firm, Laurem Consulting which provides VAT and tax advisory services, largely to the housing sector, but also to other not for profit and commercial organisations. Prior to this he was a VAT partner in a large firm of chartered accountants and dealt with many of the countries largest housing associations.
Roy is the chief editor and co-author of the Tottel’s manual VAT for Social Housing, and is an active member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, serving on a number of its technical sub-committees. He is also an associate at Tribal Consulting, the country’s largest private provider of consultancy services to the housing sector.
As Chair of the Audit Committee, Roy is responsible for helping to ensure that St Vincent’s evaluates risks and value for money properly, and maintains an effective system of internal controls.

Board Member and Chair of the Operations Committee. Age 42 - beautiful with a fabulous personality, solicitor specialising in Housing Management Law. Previously a nurse specialising in Intensive Care and Recovery Nursing.
Interests
Music, going to gigs, scuba diving (Ideally in tropical places), travel, people
Reason for being a Board Member
In my day job I have to deal with the difficult problems in housing, asb, possession, homelessness etc. As a Board Member I am able to focus on improving people’s lives, making changes to benefit tenants and most importantly being given the opportunity to hear what St Vincent’s tenants want and to be able to provide them with the chance of fulfilling their requirements. |
